Since 1949, Mercy Crusade Inc., a 501(C)(3) organization, has been devoted to promoting humane treatment and spay/neuter of our domesticated pets. With a significant demand in Ventura County for affordable spay/neuter services, The Spay Neuter Clinic was opened in Oxnard, CA in 2001. In 2011, services were expanded to include the Wellness Clinic. Mercy Crusade is currently the only nonprofit, affordable veterinary clinic in the area.

Founded in 1931, the Humane Society of Sonoma County (HSSC) has a longstanding tradition of offering hope to animals in need of a second chance. Their mission is to ensure that every animal receives protection, compassion, love, and care. In addition to comprehensive medical care and behavior support for homeless animals on the journey to forever homes, HSSC provides resources including affordable spay/neuter services and veterinary care for low- to no-income pet owners to help keep pets out of the shelter and in the arms of the families who love them.

The High Plateau Humane Society (HPHS) is an all-volunteer rescue established in 1987 in the northeastern corner of California.  In addition to cat and dog rescue and re-homing, it provides low-cost spay and neuter, immunization, dental and emergency medical care certificates to low-income households in Modoc County. It also offers a free dog and cat food pantry. HPHS is the only organization in Modoc County providing these services.

Animal Fix Clinic is a non-profit surgical practice for dogs and cats in the San Francisco Bay Area. Founded in 1998 with MASH-style events serving community cats, AFC has grown over the decades into a free-standing, brick-and-mortar clinic dedicated to providing dogs and cats with a wide range of urgent, essential surgeries.

The Palm Springs Animal Shelter (PSAS) is located in the Coachella Valley area of Southern California.  Committed to being a humane and compassionate animal care and adoption center, the shelter does not euthanize for space or length of stay. As a public, open admission shelter, PSAS provides a safe haven for ALL animals, including those who require rehabilitation, training, and medical treatment.

Rancho Coastal Humane Society (RCHS) is dedicated to saving the lives of abandoned companion animals, promoting adoption into loving homes, and offering education programs and support services that inspire and strengthen the human-animal bond. Serving the San Diego County community since 1960, RCHS finds new homes for approximately 1,000 abandoned companion dogs, cats and rabbits each year. The majority of these animals come from shelters throughout the region that are struggling with overcrowding and high euthanasia rates. Bringing these animals to RCHS gives them a second chance.

The Santa Barbara County (SBC) Animal Care Foundation is an all-volunteer nonprofit founded in 2002. Their mission is to promote animal welfare and better the quality of life for animals in Santa Barbara County through, education, outreach, collaboration, and promotion of the humane ethic and responsible treatment of all animals. 

Silicon Valley Pet Project (SVPP) is a nonprofit organization committed to saving local at-risk shelter pets through rescue, community involvement, and education. SVPP  partners with the San Jose Animal Care Center and TriCity Animal Shelter from which they rescue dogs and cats of all ages and breeds. The focus is on the most vulnerable pets at the shelter, particularly seniors and animals with special needs.
