Sweet Savannah has been in and out of shelters her entire life. Most recently, she came to SPCA Florida from a nearby, overcrowded municipal shelter. Being an older dog and with limited space available, she was at-risk of euthanasia.
Once at SPCA Florida, it was determined this adorable ten-year-old hound mix was heartworm positive. Savannah needed a helping paw, and thanks to a Grey Muzzle grant, she was able to receive heartworm treatment immediately.
Savannah did great with her treatment and not too long after receiving a clean bill of health, she was adopted into a loving, forever home.
